Are people who love and review FPS games ADD?
I got to thinking about how well SOF2 had been recieved by game reviewers 2-3 years ago. I've been playing it and think its has absolutely the worst AI I've seen in a game. So I went and re-read some reviews. All complain about the painful stealth missions and how they were happy to see that you could use your shotgun or other loud weapon with little to no real impact. GOD! If a game has stealth options (crouching low, going prone in grass for example) I expect to use them and allow a player (if he so chooses to) to stealth his way though the game. Hell, even an option (opposed) to frontal assault would have been nice. I then went back and read Hitman 2 and XIII reviews and it was very similar. They praised the fact that you didn't have to do stealth if you didn't want to. My god what is wrong with these people. Hitman 2 is a stealth based game. XIII actually rewarded you for not being quiet. Sorry, this may not be terribly coherent but I'm super frusturated!!! I mean if it was a twich shooter (Serious Sam, etc) then fine but most of these games are designed with stealth elements.
