Help me find a prepaid phone plan!
So I'm going to Florida on saturday. I've never been to the US before.
...So I'm trying to find a prepaid plan to use while I'm there. But man, your operators are all wacky. What's this deal with actually paying for what you think you'll use instead of what you actually use? Different prices on weekends and evenings? And you actually have to buy a phone when you want a new plan? Paying for recieving calls and text messages? Who comes up with this crap?
On to my main question: Obviously I want to use my snazzy own Nokia, so there shouldn't be any trouble with bying the cheapest phone they have and simply transfer the SIM-card, no?
If anyone know any operators who offer a good prapaid plan in Florida, please tell. One without credit checks, daily access fees (wtf?) or preferably and monthly fees at all. I want to buy credits and call for what I play for, if possible.
since you're going to florida I suggest using Boost Mobile. However, you won't be able to use your own phone. If you want to use your own phone you have to go with AT&T and pay the daily access charger OR .25cents per minute.
Thanks for the quick response. What exactly is preventing me from using my own phone? And I can't find any info on that AT&T plan you mention.
So far the GoPhone pay as you go plan sound the most promising, but I really need to use my one phone. Is this the one you mean?
edit 2 As I thought, any GSM plan can be put in any phone you want. Now I only have to find the cheapest one.
