Different story for travel vacation photos. I want nice pics for those, so I bring my DSLR. The iPhone won't cut it in the IQ department.

Iv'e said before P&S is basically dead. Those guys didn't bother updating their product for wi-fi, touch screen, filtering, social networks. It's the same P&S cameras they've been cranking out for years now. It's no wonder why they are trying to make the push for 4/3 cameras as some "new" camera. Guess what? Those 4/3 cameras STILL lack basic features smartphones have.

if there is no iphone 5, why don't apple call iphone 4gs a iphone 5.

It seems it's just a spec bump. Hence the 4"S". They are talking about software of the iPhone and no more hardware...Now I know why they held it on campus...

Unless Phil says (or shows) something drastic, I'll be skipping this one. I can make do with the iPhone 4 camera and iOS 5, until iPhone 6.

i have s95 few months ago, if you upgrade to xz-1 there will be feature that is usually only on dslr device.

so it is getting there.

i can take photo with NR effect on xz-1, which is only found on some high end dslr , and alot of photo filter effect which is not found on the s95.

i know the s95 is the smallest compact high end device, but it still lacking alot of feature and filter which is found on new pS cam

but video shooting i think cellphone is better in miles... maybe cpu is the main issue with compact camera with video shooting.

Tough pill to swallow after 16 month wait. There's no reason for this thing to be have not launch in July. Software can be updated as needed. EPIC FAIL.

i will probably get the ipad 2 tomorrow, since new iphone doesn't really beat the ipad 2 yet.....

This thing seems like it was thrown together at the last minute.

It's like they said "ok, guys we need to make an announcement. We are far behind but we gotta say something. We'll just hold the event on our campus. Hope for the best". The Siri feature isn't even finished. iTunes match won't be ready until end of month.

This was lacklust. I'm sticking with iPhone 4 gentlemen.

But I am not impressed with the 4s at all. The biggest feature "siri" I cant even use :rolleyes:
