International? you're funny. Pay as you go, essentially. ATT sucks for international anything. Even talk and data packs are ridiculously overpriced.

Oh... You didn't say how much such a lousy plan costs you?

Something I left off mine, is that you can buy 'travel packages' to cover you while you are out and about. 8-)

Telephony in our city (OP and mine) is ****ing nuts.
I have the following plan:

Du on iPhone 5 for almost USD 80 equivalent for 175 free mins, 10 GB data and some 50 free texts.

Etisalat on iPhone 6 for almost USD 55 equivalent with 50 free mins, 1 GB data and some 50 free texts.

Both contracts are 24 months so I don't technically pay a single penny for the phone sets. However, net net, the phone costs maybe 30 more expensive than retail price and contract is for 24 months.

It is ****ing rape I tell you!

ozzfreak Jan 11, 2015 04:04 PM

How are you AT&T folks' plans so cheap? :(

AT&T Individual

450 Rollover Minutes
5GB data
Tethering option
Unlimited Text

120.56/mo

Part of it might be fees in my local area. Part of it is the corporate discount I take advantage of. But even without that, I would probably be about $15-20 cheaper than you I think. Not sure what's going on. How much is your tethering deal?

You have something wrong with your plan. If I remember my pricing from my time at AT&T it should be cheaper.

Min: 39.99
Data: 30.00
Text: 20.00

and even those are old prices I think.

Gotta keep a look out for deals on other providers and then call att and ask them to match. I started out at 2gb for 99 a month. Now at 4gb for 60

Nation 450 with Rollover$39.99
International Roaming - Expanded$0.00
Messaging Unlimited with Mobile to Any Mobile Calling$20.00
DataPro 5GB for Smartphone 4G LTE with Visual Voicemail$50.00
Total Monthly Plan Charges$109.99

Then 10.57 in taxes/fees

So it's really just my data I guess, but there's ZERO way I could go with less as I've almost tapped out the full 5GB multiple times

logical Jan 11, 2015 07:11 PM

AT&T

Your data plan is old, Tethering is automatically included with current plans. You should switch to their new shared plans since you would benefit from it.

I can only add it from everything I have seen, because ATT wants me out of my grand-fathered unlimited plan :)

Haven't bothered to press the issue since I can a decent amount of work done on my phone. Once more Baytrail/Skylake products come out, I may change my mind.
