Is it bad if your GPU outputs 4000 fps?
When I am in the menu in Crysis 1, I am running at 3000-4000 fps. Is this bad for my graphics card? I know I can cure this with V-Sync but want to know if I can damage anything if I don't use it.

At 4444 fps it sucks you through the monitor into another dimension.

Also tell Teddie to stay away from Yukiko  |
Pretty sure this high frame rate can bust a cap on your monitor...

Your card can handle it, just make sure to put your helmet on.

I didn't know anyone used CGA anymore :bleh:

I get over 5,000 fps in GLQuake. So, don't worry about it!

When my card outputs insane framerates (Radeon 7950) during a benchmark etc (vsync off) I get the impression I can hear a very high-pitched sound coming off my PC. I think it is energy-related, either from the card itself or the PSU? Anyway, I don't think it is harmless. Might bust a capacitor or something? I don't really know this stuff. But I prefer to keep vsync on because of this.
  :hmm: :) ;) |
maybe at over 9000 fps your monitor can turn super saiyan.
