ever since I watched that episode I think about my tablet cameras differently, even put a small piece of tape over one... :lol:

I guess it's useful to say smart TVs in particular because they don't occur to people as being securable internet devices.... but yeah, anything connected to the net can do it and it should be common sense and routine practice to secure your internet connected devices.




Basically every smart device can be hijacked, so limit the number, the ones from unknown/sketchy sources (or companies), and the physical capability (camera, microphone, payment information, etc.) of them to dramatically reduce your risk.
