Windows 7 password reset -what software?

I'm helping somebody with their forgotten Windows 7 password.
I've read that Offline Windows Password is good: http://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/

Is this is good option or should I be looking at something else also?

will definitely get the job done, but there are other tools you can use (hiren? ultimate boot cd?)

Should work (I've done it myself, but it's been a few months). I didn't have any success with using the CD to blank the existing user password (it kept saying it was already blank even though it wasn't), but it did enable a workaround.

Use it to enable the built in administrator account (which should have no password attached to it by default), and then use that to log in and change/blank the user's password from within Local Users & Groups (if they're running Win7 Pro).

If they're using the Home Edition, use the net command (via command prompt) to blank the password:

net user username ""

Then use the CD to disable the administrator account once you're done (or disable it from within Local Users & Groups if they're running Pro and they're already an admin). Otherwise it'll be listed on the login screen.

Windows 7 Password Remover Disk is better then other software, i have tried many times
