Someone want to unlock the Vega thread already? Doesn't take a day to "clean it up". Don't see what was said to warrant closing it.

Constant dick waving, constant off topic ****, constant attacks and name calling and constant bitch fighting over the course of the entire thread.

It needs to stay closed.

When Vega is released a new thread should be made so people dont have to walk into 107 pages of bullshit where old feuds can be quoted and fighting could continue.

I say if those same people **** up the new thread the same way they did the current thread some people should get some extended time outs.
 
The mod's consensus is we will start a new one when ready and it won't start with comments like we already have.
 
So one of the hottest threads in this forum and the most active this forum has been in ages just gets closed because 2 to 3 people can't get along. Ban them and move on.

what else is there to talk about? Just make a thread when the product is out on Aug 14. It's only a week away. It'll solve much of the argument.

Fine I'll visit other forums to theory craft about new products. Locking the thread is a poor decision. Probably done because the mods don't want to deal with it
 
I stopped reading after page 90 or so. It can remain open or closed, I am already using Hard and Overclock.net for my real news :rolleyes:

Bingo...the thread stopped being about Vega a while ago and turned into a back and forth green vs red or off topic posts. Not really hard to understand. Nobody is stopping anybody from creating a new thread, which we end up doing anyway like the "Official Vega" thread or something similar.

3 bans would be 50% of the users posting in that thread.

I stated before nobody is stopping anybody from creating a new Vega thread. The old one will not be opened back up.

I will create a new thread. Please play nice is all we ask.
 
This wasn't a single mods decision. We all agreed that the thread wasn't worth salvaging vs creating a new thread. It is the problem of the old timers here they like big monolithic threads vs creating threads for differing topics like a forum is meant for.

It is a catch 22 on rage, old users like big singular threads which are a PITA for new users to jump into. So as a mod who do you cater to? and how far do you allow things to go before you step in. A lot of times the thread will self correct before a mod even gets a chance to pop in and it is when that doesn't happen we have to step in and deal with the situation.
