Fixed Issues

Radeon FreeSync™ may intermittently become locked while on desktop after performing task switching between extended and primary displays upon closing a game, causing poor performance or stuttering.

Anno 1800™ may crash upon launching this game when running DirectX®12.

AMD cleanup utility may clean up chipset/RAID installer related folders/registries from the system.

Some Radeon Graphics products may experience lower than expected performance in Destiny 2™ when compared to previous Radeon Software versions.

Upon joining the AMD User Experience Program, the AMD User Experience Program Master service may have higher than expected CPU utilization.

Enabling Ray Tracing while running Ring of Elysium™ on DirectX®12 may cause this game to crash.

Known Issues

Resident Evil Village™ may experience an intermittent application hang or TDR on AMD Radeon VII graphics products in the first mission of the game.

Enhanced Sync may cause a black screen to occur when enabled on some games and system configurations. Any users who may be experiencing issues with Enhanced Sync enabled should disable it as a temporary workaround.

Connecting two displays with large differences in resolution/refresh rates may cause flickering on Radeon RX Vega series graphics products.

An Oculus service error may be received on Radeon RX 5000 & 6000 series graphics products which prevents the Oculus Link setup software from running.

Radeon performance metrics and logging features may intermittently report extremely high and incorrect memory clock values.

If Ryzen Master is not detected in Adrenalin software after installation, a system restart may be required.

If Blue or Black screen is observed in mobile systems, temporarily disable Enhanced sign-in

A driver mismatch error may appear when two versions of Radeon software (Windows Store & AMD Support versions) are installed on your system. As a temporary workaround, launch the Windows Store version of Radeon software.

AMD is investigating an issue that may cause a small impact to battery life on AMD Ryzen 5000 notebooks.

A Blue or Black screen may be observed after updating to the latest Radeon Software. A workaround is to disable core isolation.

AMD is investigating a D3 error code that may be seen in some motherboard after updating to the latest Radeon Software.

Lower than expected performance may be observed on select AMD Athlon™ mobile systems.

Why don't they have a list of games supported by fidelity FX. Are they waiting for devs to patch/announce it?

I kno right >:E

Give legit AMD signed off list of the supported titles none of these clickbait rumor mill sites and their poopy lists.

Well ****... Looks like The R7/9 2xx,3xx and Fury just lost support and at the worst possible time.

Extremely extremely disappointed. This feels completely illogical as the RX400, RX500 and Vega series all share the same architecture(The Tweaks through GCN's version was incredibly minor). Not to mention, I can't even buy a new Radeon GPU if I wanted too (Between no stock and outta this world pricing, it's unattainable)

*late edit* I hope this is just a mistake. As GCN isn't on the legacy support page yet. https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/gpu-kb182

I get this when I choose Fury X in driverpage:

Too bad, I still have a Fury X in operation... Would be lovely if it would get FSR support, that would greatly expand it's lifecycle. Oh, I think I just answered the question.................

So the cards that are recieving new driver are from 400 series and upwards. Was there something i missed between 300 and 400 that makes the 400 vastly different from 200/300 series (and Fury for that matters)? Aren't the capabilities the same, it's just a little "fine tuning" for higher clock speeds?

I did read last they added rx470 from the previous low rx580 and up but not the low end rx460. Maybe a vram issue?

Well, if you choose 460 in the driver select menu it to has the option for 21.6.1. i haven't heard of any specific model exclusion, just whole series.

Oh cool. They seem to be revising the gpu support list every few weeks...

Ive installed the driver its running fine but dont own any games that support fsr yet so...

DF has an early short review of FSR but oddly hasnt compared to dlss 1.0.

They sound pretty positive over the first iteration of it imo. UQ setting being the one good option for discerning gamers which is no big surprise. Tho the Terminator game seems to be ok at lower settings.

I get the impression with all the game engine options coming out as well that will spread support and FSR's likely updates in the future that we will be well served in this upscaling respect. In a way it makes up a bit for the crazy banana pants prices for new gpus we've seen for too long now. Itll help us navigate the next year or 2 while things shake themselves out.

HU has a nice review of FSR and comparison to DLSS

On the upside... while we may not have support driver side, it may work game-side regardless. As remember, the GeForce's don't have support driver side, so I'll have to give it a try once I own a game with FSR.

Page doesnt mention it but day one support for these games are listed in their launch video:

Ok I just tested in Riftbreaker as it has a demo. Happy to report FSR works perfectly fine without the new driver and the performance boost is nice!

**Note I had other crap running that probably effected performance. So my results are far from perfect. I just wanted to see if it worked**

Riftbreaker GPU benchmark

Resolution: 3840x1080
FidelityFX SharpeningOn

No FSR - Avg: 94.58
FSR Ultra Quallity - Avg: 121.77
FSR Quallity - Avg: 137.22

So working like a charm on my Radeon Fury. So allot less disappointed, still not happy but drivers going into legacy mode :(

Im kinda surprised this works out of the box for nvidia gpus no driver update needed. But amd gpus needed a driver update? Unless nvidia put in the support in a past update stealthily...

So what was the point in releasing a driver stating FSR support? That's weird, when AMD states in slides support from 400/500 series.

Now I'm curious how far back support really is, maybe 200 series also has support?

GN says supports goes back further than the listed rx400 series. They tested an apu and it worked fine.

Sounds like they dont need a driver update if a game supports it?...

Weirdness...
