Official AMD Radeon RX 7000 Series (RDNA 3) Thread

Prices still carved in stone here at the fringes of the hardware market galaxy, safe for microscopic fluctuations even an oscilloscope can hardly measure.
Never like before in this god-forsaken region barely touched by consumer technology trade routes, has it been a better time to completely forget about gpu's and pc gaming alltogether. Amen :bleh:

Ya prices drop in EU and US before anywhere else... usually a few months before Canada catches up. Its still 1000$ or more plus tax for RX6950 up here.

Yup, always been annoying that.If your lucky, some times Canadian retailers will run a sale that will bring it inline with where the US price dip. But they tend to sellout extremely fast :(

p.s. Worth noting both Memory Express and Canada Computers have 6950 XT's for under a grand before tax as of this post.

16 GB is my bottom rung for this gen and the intel Arc 770 16GB is starting to get tempting at 600$... Still no eta on the 7800xt that should have 16 GB but figure we'll hear something about it by Computex in June. Funny to see the youtubers call the recent 50$ price drop on nvidia as 'prices are collapsing'... :bleh:

Got tired of waiting, reading a lot of reviews and doing som calc and ended up buying a 6950XT for my kid. Got an XFX Merc 319 Black for a total of 736USD, so not that bad here in Norway.

Prices are basically static here. 1400$ for a 7900 XTX, 1200 for a XT and 6950 is 1000$. Expect the 7800XT at 800$. I repasted the vega64 and will try to get around to reinstalling it next week. I figure we have to wait another 6 months before prices start to drop.

7900xtx solidly in stock and even sapphire nitros can be had for under 1100$ now.

On amazon US right now for $460.

You yanks get the best deals its still at $600 CAD plus tax up here. 7900XTX and XT's havent budged in price. Range from $1200 to 2500$ plus 15% tax.

Vega has bit the dust repasting and remounting didnt fix anything. Little over 4 years of mild use and its dead. Thats 2 out of the last 5 gpus starting to look at other brands/makes.

Interesting read here for those shopping for a new gpu. Having one that has dual issue FP32 shaders that RTX 3000 on up and RX 7000's have could make a big diff as games start to make use of it moving forward we might see them really move away from the pack performance wise.

Here we see in some scenarios the low end 7600 get pretty close to the 6900xt:

Compute Throughput

The RX 7600 may be a small GPU, but RDNA 3’s dual issue capability gives it plenty of theoretical throughput. FP32 throughput can get quite close to the RX 6900 XT, RDNA 2’s top end GPU. That’s quite remarkable, because Navi 33 is implemented on a 204mm[SUP]2[/SUP] die, and didn’t benefit from a full node shrink. RDNA 3 is well suited to compute-bound workloads that can take advantage of dual issue, and that carries down to its smaller variants.

The RX 7800 XT utilizes the full configuration of this GPU, featuring 60 CUs, 128 AI Accelerators, 16GB of GDDR6 memory clocked at 19.5 Gbps over a 256-bit bus. The card will therefore offer fewer cores than last-gen RX 6800 XT (72 CUs). The GPU’s clock speed reaches up to 2430 MHz, and it consumes 263W of power.

Interestingly, the RX 7700 XT‘s specifications surpass expectations. It employs 54 CUs and 108 AI Accelerators, a notable improvement over the previous-gen RX 6700 XT with its 40 CUs. This model also utilizes 12GB of GDDR6 memory across a 192-bit bus, although its memory clock is slightly lower at 18 Gbps. Notably, the RX 7700 XT exhibits a higher TBP compared to the RX 6700 XT, with a 15W increase to 245W.

The 7700xt Ive been waiting for has a lot more CU's than expected. Everyone thought it would be 40. Im kinda glad I waited tho buddies 6700xt was showing good perf on all his games. Looking forward to reviews and hope it stays under 500 CAD. Should easily beat the 4060ti.in the same price category.

RX 7800xt and 7700xt out today. I am surprised to see the 7800XT the same price as the 4060ti 16 GB in Canada. To put it mildly the 7800xt crushes the 4060ti...

TPU ran a slew of brands in review on the same day pretty impressive. Just check the days news page.

And of course HU has its solid review up:

I also like Daniel Owen's reviews tho as math teacher he does get a little jittery.
