Need ideas: Have a 3-pack Win7 license box...

...that I want to make sure will be able to upgrade to Win10. The box is unopened, bought several years ago in case I needed more licenses.

Not entirely sure what ideas you need. Can you please clarify? Win 7 is eligible for the free upgrade to Win 10. In fact, if I understand correctly, you can now do a clean install of Win 10 using the Win 7 retail key.

Don't do it, upgrading a win7 family pack key nets you a single oem win10 'key', tied to the pc you upgraded on.

You can grab a retail win10 key for $120, it will pay for itself very quickly if you do any kind of pc upgrades.

So I basically need to install the family pack before next summer to (one or three computers?) or I'll lose the upgrade?

I've tried to figure out how to do this, without luck.

I guess I have to reinstall Win7 Ult and then do an in-place upgrade.
