My first visit to ebay... (hopefully funny)

About five minutes ago my boredom meter reached such heights that I for the first time since those Voodoo 5 6000 auctions decided to pay ebay a visit.
I wasn't expecting anything less than the reason people commit suicide and indeed ebay met my expectations.

This card without a doubt is one of the fastest on the market. Hot off the assembly line form Nvidea the GE Force FX specification is their biggest baddest chipset yet. It easily outperforms the brute force of the ATI Radieon line because of its tons of extra Nvidea specific features. It is easily user interface overclockible using Nvidea's own driver. It has advanced texturing and shading quality capabilities the competition can't touch. If you took a kick butt quality GE Force FX demo like "Dawn The Fairy" or "Ogre" and tried running it on a radieon 9800 pro even with its massive prossesing power it would choke and not be able to play it faster than 10 frames per second. Cartoons are faster! The GE Force FX can easily run those demos smooth as ice along with ANY game or 3D application on the market!

The card he's talking about is in fact the Geforce FX 5200...

Somehow I feel that this kills all arguments that all people are equal... (unless this was written by something else)
 
Umm... Now that a bunch of people has looked at this thread of mine, did I pass? Was it in fact funny or do I need to redouble my efforts until the next time I try something?
 
I email idoits like that and tell them that they should change the auction or have me file fraud on ebay.

One guy claimed that the 9500 NP 64mb could be modified to a 9700 pro... I emailed him... and I emailed his buyer. his buyer emailed me back thanking me for the info... saying he canceled his payment. the seller mailed me... angry... but he had closed his auction early so he could sell to the current bidder. but like i said i got to the buyer 1st.

Also this one guy was selling a AMd Athlon 1700+ 1.45 ghz, saying that it can overclock well over 3ghz with good cooling.
But the good 1700+'s which are DLT3C get 2.3-2.4, he was selling a DUT3C... which SUCK for overclocking.

And only with a prometia or LN2 can you even hope to get 3 ghz out of an Athlon.

I mailed his a$$ also. Man some people are just way over the top. Sure you want what your selling ot sound good. But you dont have to out and out LIE.

Edit: It'd be funny if it didnt make me so angry KNOWING someone will believe it... and probably think they are getting an awsome card...

you could plug a hunk of poop into your AGP slot and it'd be better than the 5200FX.

Buying this guy's video card will not only make you feel better, but it will make you look better, and it can cure balding, and maybe even make you lose those unwanted pounds!

About the ebay crap.. the bidding is already up to 2 grand. And the reserve still isn't met, but there's still 8 days left.

Whoever buys that system is going to get screwed. No ifs ands or buts.

I want to reach out.. but I also want to fold my arms and think "that's what you get for choosing to be ignorant"

ya, unfortunetly/fortunetly Ebay is filled with all kinds of people that likely donot know as much about computers as Rage3d people do. When I sold my R8500LE, I didn't want to sell it on Rage3d because I knew I wouldnt get nearly as much money for it. So I sold it on ebay and made a killing. And while I didn't mention the R8500LE being obsolete compared to whats available now, I did mention INCLUDES FREE CASE 8500 STICKER!!! and people flocked to my bid! lol

It is sad to hold the 5200 in such high regard, and I pity people who buy it thinking DoomIII will rock with a 5200 and their PIII 800... but it happens and it's the only way people will learn about whats hot and whats not.
 
5000.00 for that system.
I think it was bought by someone that knows nothing about computers and likes shiny things that sound fast.
OMG Did you send him to Alienware or Voodoo PCs if he wants to spend that much money.
He would get a way faster machine.
Actually I think Ill send him an email on that.

WTF?!? the pioneer should only take about 1 hour, but thats only at 1x, hell 2x would do in about the same amount of time.
Are they burning at .5x? LOL
