I might have to ditch my S21 Ultra for a 12 Pro Max

My wife and I had both had S21 Ultras -- had them since January. Recently she wanted to switch to an Apple (all the chicks she works with has them, FOMO) -- sells s21, gets an 12 Pro Max.

Esthetically, it is a beautiful phone (personally, I still prefer the ninja styling of the s21 ultra but understand the attraction to the build quality of the apple) -- beyond that, I do not understand the hype. I played with it for a few hours trying to understand the love -- lost on me. Feels not very different to the Apple I had a decade ago. Other than being able to chat with her iFriends she regrets the decision.

I am still in the **** apple camp. I will check back in another 10 years.

Assuming both are working as advertised, I don’t think you can go wrong with either phone. It’s down to personal preference. I dumped Apple about 8 years ago after getting hit with buggy OS releases they couldn’t fix for me on both phone and laptop, and went full Android. This time got hit with a buggy Android phone, so back to Apple.

I’ll make another thread in a few years about how bad Apple is :p

No one likes green bubbles. Welcome your wife to the blue bubble world.

Iirc its still green between Android and iOS devices. But you get blue Android to Android if using the right phone and stuff.

Oh, yes still green between Android <-> IOS, but between Androids, you get blue messages now. I believe they have to be on Android 11, and using the default messaging app.

Didn't see a bubble conversation coming

I used Textra exclusively on Android and it's very customizable. Choose your own whatever.

iOS there are 3rd party apps, but I don't see the need.

You should show her Textra on the S21. It's the best messaging app I've ever used, and you choose your own bubbles

Poor lazy you don't understand.

It's not how you see the bubbles it's how other people see your bubbles that matter.
