Take a year or so walkabout and everything falls apart. Sheesh!

Something not working? Post here and I'll try to take a look. Be nice, or I might go on another vacay. :bleh: Do keep in mind that we're in the middle of moving, so patience might be in order.

To Do's:

Email (pwd resets, notifications etc) fixed
Avatar Upload fixed

Just a small forum upgrade please k thx
It looks like the latest build of vbulletin is 5.4.1 so yeah, I'd say we're a bit behind. I think a lot of the problem in updating comes from custom content and articles. Those don't port well to the new versions. So either someone has to go through the work of manually cleaning up and fixing every article to bring it into the new builds, or we just cut our losses and move on.

I'm not sure how much traffic the site generates each month but maybe a hosted SaaS solution will work for us?

I've looked into moving to the vB cloud hosting. Only real drawback is very limited theme capabilities.

I will look into it again.

I will look into it again.

As long as there's a dark theme, I say let's do it; lord knows there's enough security holes in a version of vB this old to drive a few semis through.

Another far & few between update ...

So we're very aware of the continued issues. I had hoped to be able to address some / all of them when I was within a few miles of where the hamsters reside, but circumstances prevented my ability to even drop by.

Today I did talk w/ the NOC, and am working toward getting support for the server, to address the issues and restore overall stability. Hopefully they'll be able to provide a support plan in short order, and this to-do bullet can be checked off.

I notice that I can now access the forum again with an old version of Firefox, which hasn't been the case for over a year, so that's a plus.

(Long story why I've been stuck on an old version.)

Just wanted to chime in and say thanks for the website. It's been a great place to relax and browse the last couple of years.

I know updates are hard and take time.

I have had an issue with the bold and italic keyboard shortcuts for the last few Firefox releases. The website does not seem to catch the input of these shortcuts, so the Firefox bookmarks sidebar pops up instead.
