Can't post responses or create new posts with Firefox

I have an older version of firefox (49) on one of my PCs and it just does not load at all. FF 56 works for me (56 is still old)
 
Im having the same situation at work but not at home. The quick fix Ive been using which is somewhat annoying is to hit the "switch editor mode" button on the top right of the reply box over the emotions. That un-greys the reply box for me every time. Its an annoying inconvenience but it works.

Word? Can't believe that worked. I knew it had to be something simple. :lol:
 
So Android1 called it right as a V-Bulletin issue...

At least the work around is nice and easy should mine start acting up.

When it doubt, it is always a safe bet to blame the ancient forum software. :D
 
There is an new update for Firefox, 60.0.1. Has anyone tested that yet? I have it, and I still have no issues.

To check your version, click on the Firefox menu button (the three horizontal lines in the upper-right), click Help, and click About Firefox. If you have not received the update yet, performing the aforementioned steps will start the download.
 
Yeah, I already tested FF 60.0.1, but same result though....same for latest Waterfox version. Unless I switch the editor mode. But as for Edge, it's perfectly working for both editor modes. I'm not sure why something like that...

That is REALLY old. So old it's "end of life" support date was October, 2008. :lol:

This particular issue might be due to differences in javascript or .NET frameworks that this old version relies on. Hence why some people have this issue and some don't.

Firefox might be the first to show, but other browsers might follow suit as time goes on. And other issues will likely pop up too eventually.

I don't know the financial standing of this site, if it makes the owner any money or not, but perhaps it's time to start thinking/planning an upgrade? Lest Rage3D dies a slow, painful death into tech oblivion....
 
There is no upgrade or planning of a upgrade, also what owner? :bleh:

This is still broken, all I can do is quick reply to a post, can't create new posts.
EDIT: Nevermind, I see the workaround now.
 
Ichneumon owns it. I am not sure if anyone else contributes to the hosting costs.
