It works fine in the 32-bit version of Vista with the driver for Windows XP. You may need to manually specify the driver for the device after installing the drivers.
However, since there is no driver for the 64-bit edition of XP, there is no driver for the 64-bit edition of Vista.

Some of that seems familiar from when I was trying to get mine working.
