All In Wonder Repair

Is there anyplace on the planet that diagnoses and repairs ATI Radeon All In Wonder Cards ?

Can the small cooling fans be found for replacement?

I'm talking 7500 and 8500 DV and 8500-128MB Edition.

I've noticed some 7500s had the cooling fan and some did not. Was the fan stock on all the 7500 ?

Don't know about repair other than AMD/ATI but charge you up the rear they will if they can still fix them. However, try Ebay. Those cards used to be under $10 ? if there are any sitll around. Or some place called Compuserve or something similar. sells old AIW & TV products.
Perhaps something similar but a slight upgrade to a new AIW?

Also depending on the Heat sink you could mount a fan onto a non fan model. Might have to cobble it in some but do it to northbridges & old south bridges.

Loads of places online sell generic fans, & a few have heatsinks that may work as well. I've had luck with adding fans to northbridge heatsinks using a small dab of silicone sealer, or even (with a tie as backup) a hot melt glue gun -- depending on what your card looks like, you *might* be able to use that approach. Deal Extreme sells small fans dirt cheap, & you might want to check out other Hong Kong/Malaysia importers as well if cost is a big factor. Many overclocking/modding sites have the small fans &/or heatsinks too. Electronics supply houses charge more, but you'll often get better quality = longevity. If you don't see way to make another fan work, & don't see a bolt on replacement for your entire heat sink, gluing on a new heatsink may be an option -- doesn't work as well, but if that's your only option may be worth a try. Newegg sells (among others) an epoxy heat sink compound.

I have replaced the fan on my AIW 9600 twice using fans designed for CPU's. Have to cannibalize them somewhat (remove the big phat heat sink).

Take the card out, and take the fan off. This is mainly so you can match up a fan that has the same bolt pattern (and of course you have to take it off to replace it).

Good Luck.
