I know this thread is dead but I had to post this video from Der8aurer breaking the 3dmark2001 world record with a 12900k on windows XP. I know what I have to do.

I'm too lazy to see the video or to dig this with google, but how big is the latest record score on this benchmark? Has it reached 1 million score number? Or perhaps higher?

It's around 240,000 surprisingly not as high as you would think. 3dmark2001 seems to be a CPU limited test.

Single thread performance is the key. A 12600k will probably smoke TR.
The world record used a 980 Ti. Only thing that cards has going for it is XP drivers.
