So first question is: Do current Catalyst Drivers work for AIW128 on Windows7 (64 Bit)?

Many thanks in Advvance.

Hi,

On my hard drive, in C:\ATI, I have all the driver folders and files after unzipping the ATI driver download. I understand what all those folders and files are. That is, they include the Setup.exe program that installs the ATI drivers, etc. This C:\ATI folder has been there for as long as I can remember, after downloading and unzipping the basic ATI driver download.

However, in my C:\Program Files, I also have an ATI folder containing many other folders and files. In addition, in C:\Program Files, I have another ATI Technologies folder containing more folders and files.

What I'd like someone to explain is what is the purpose of all those other folders and files in C:\Program Files?

Can I delete them?

Thanks,

So tomorrow I begin my ATi adventure, last time I owned one was my X1950XT which bit the dust. :bleh:

Anyway, I intend on formatting since I prefer starting fresh to avoid any potential problems, and was curious what drivers I should install first on Windows 7 64bit. I've heard mixed things, which has me a little nervous, but I'm not sure if I want to install 9.11 or 9.12 betas. The games I'm currently playing through are Borderlands, Left 4 Dead 2, Dawn of War 2, and Call of Duty 4. So any advice would be appreciated.

Hopefully things go smooth.

Much to my surprise, Anisotropic filtering does not work at all with Catalyst 9.11. If I alt-tab out of the game, set aniso to forced 16x, it looks identical to aniso set to app-controlled (there is no in-game aniso/fsaa option). Ground textures shimmer badly with moire patterns. The game looks (and finally runs) fantastic when aniso is on, has anyone else encountered this issue or know of a solution?
