Anyone else think the Impulse Client Sucks

Everytime I launch it it wants to do a update check, which I have no problems with other than it takes ages to find if its even got one. Then it will try and download and install the update which for some reason takes ages again, of which it will then restart the client and then do it all again and look for a update. So when its finally finished loading updates and its up and running. I tried to restore a game that I had backed up. So I go to the restore option and it comes up and says "Sorry you can only restore the game on the OS that you installed it on" :nag: so if you have upgraded from Vista to 7, well all your backups now dont work. Im sorry but thats the most restarded thing I have ever seen.

Anyone from Missouri?

Nvidia is auctioning off a custom-built "ultimate" gaming system on eBay.   Company spokesperson Brian Burke told TG Daily that the machine was "hand built" by veteran case modder Richard "Darth Beavis" Surroz and is valued at over $10,000.

"With a one of a kind Nvidia themed paint job created by Smooth Creations, the system features two watercooled GeForce GTX 295 graphics cards in SLI, Nvidia 3D Vision glasses and a Samsung 2233RZ 3D Vision Ready Display," said Burke.

"[The machine also boasts] an Intel Core i7 975 Extreme Edition CPU, 12GB of Crucial Ballistix DDR3 Memory, an ASUS Rampage II Gene X58 Motherboard, two 256GB Crucial SSD Hard Drives in Raid 0 and two 1TB Western Digital Caviar Black Hard Drives."

Burke added that "100 percent" of the auction proceeds will be sent directly to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

what is the difference between total heating capacity and sensible heating capacity? The sensible one is always lower, should I use that as my minimum needed to cool a room/space of a certain btuh requirement?

I have been using a nVidia GTX 285 for the past year and it has been nothing but trouble in the main game that I play, Links 2003. I know it is an old game but very popular worldwide. So I put my X850 XT PE back in my system and low and behold the troubles with Links 2003 are no more and the game plays as smooth as butter.

I plan on upgrading to one of the newer ATi cards when supply gets a little better. Since the 58xx cards are nowhere to be found, etailers are gouging like crazy on the 57xx cards so I`ll just enjoy the X850 for know.:)

100hz Refresh Rate solution for CRT users and 5000 series

I am one of the "happy" users that realized that the refresh rates for CRT users magically disappeared on 5000 series. I was stuck with 85hz on any resolution beyond 1024x768 so i searched on internet and i ended up with this:

I recommend hardware mod with pin removed because is pretty sure work..I didn't bother too much with calculations but one day i may do it.Now i have 4 resolutions that are working (1024 ,1152, 1280, 1600) and i have 100hz refresh rate available for selection so i don't have to throw 400euros to buy a decent LCD.This Eizo CRT 21inch it feels it will last forever..

Spread of Tamiflu resistant swine flu confirmed

AIW128 / Windows7 - Catalyst Drivers?

First my apologies with asking a legacy type question but having an issue with Motherboard and On-board video so want to put in an AIW128 PCI for the time being to get some functionality back until I can actually afford a new mobo and don't want to waste time if it won't work.

So first question is: Do current Catalyst Drivers work for AIW128 on Windows7 (64 Bit)?

...and the animal rights people had to look the other way as volunteers killed hundreds of lobster in boiling water for hungry supporters of the resource centre.

VMWare ESXi motherboard compatibility

I want to scrap my windows 2003 server and build a 2008 server. I tried installing esxi on the board (gigabyte amd 690 board) but exi 4.0 didn't like it at all. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the Intel BOXDP55WB LGA 1156 Intel P55 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard compatibility with esxi. Thanks in advance for all help

Crossfire Question

My mobo has 2 pci e sockets one is x16 the other x4.
My card is a 5870 and id like to add another card for xfire but would the x4 socket hurt the performance so bad as to not make the extra card worthwhile.
The x16 socket is 2.0 standard and the x4 is 1.0/1.1 standard.

I've got a Rage 3D II+ All In wonder card with 4mb of memory on it, it has 2 svideo and a Coax plug on the back, is there anyways I can get this card running in windows XP with TV in and out? Which drivers do I use? And which ATI MMC should i use, I can't seem to find anything, I've googled this time and time again, but found you guys. Thanks in advance!

It comes with a driver disc, which I've never seen come with a mouse. The packaging as a whole is kinda over-the-top actually :hmm:

Will I get any advantage from using the special driver?
