Amazon customer reviews are important to companies. VERY important. A large chunk of their sales comes from that site. You can bet everything that important heads at Activision will watch the average score there. Here is a link to the MW2 listing: http://www.amazon.com/Call-Duty-Mode...f=cm_cd_t_pb_i (Reviews are currently disabled because the game hasn't been released yet, but they will be enabled by midnight.) So either tonight or tomorrow simply go to that link and write a 1-star review, by voicing your concerns about the game. Activision doesn't deserve our money.

Oh, and if you think that Amazon reviews don't matter, read up on the anti-DRM campain of 2008 (mainly Spore), and then look at the online activation DRM status on current and upcoming EA games. EA learned their lesson. ![]()

Why should I? I know nothing about the game, you could at least tell me why it sucks when enlisting me for your anti-Modern Warfare 2 campaign. ![]() |

- no dedicated servers - no mod support - no console - no FOV preferences - steam DRM - no lean etc etc Unpossible. No one is able to rate/review the game yet, since it's still in preorder status. That should change by midnight.

That's pretty stupid to say considering no one has actually played the game. ![]() |

It probably isn't about the game play, but because the PC version is completely watered down compared to the console versions. IE: only 16 players on a single server instead of the 64.

That is what I don't like about amazon ratings and their credibility in general. People rate without having a product themselves which distorts other consumers' perceptions. I will reserve my judgement until I actually have the game to play... like normal people. Also you can have a very good 12-16 player game instead of a 64 player spam fest. |

Buying the game means that you actually agree with that price. There is nothing to distort. The game isn't worth more than 1-star.

No, actually I pay close to 70-80$ for my console games so for PC, if I blow 60$ I am ok with it. (PC games are priced the same here whereas, console games are priced ridiculously due to high market for consoles vs. PC games). |

Aren't you guys taking this a little too far ? It's a game, not buying it is enough. Give it a rest, they didn't steal your wallet, rob your house, or anything similar. Some people take this way to seriously. Spend your energy on something else for a change, you might be pleasantly surprised how good you can feel when you don't "be hatin' " all the time. |

But seriously, this game is priced 15% higher than regular MSRP. If we let this slide, we'll be seeing more and more PC games being released at that price point.

You post funny stuff on General Chat, so you're off the hook...this time The price point thing is indeed a problem, but again, don't buy it. Rating it with 1 star on Amazon won't stop the sheep from getting it, or people not caring about dedicated servers and 10 extra bucks at the price tag enjoying it less. |

Steam DRM is a point against it? That's one of the least invasive forms I've ever dealt with and if it comes on steam it always has it.
