So after having had UAC off for a while I decided to turn it back on. I thought all was good until I noticed there was no ATi tray icon. I try to open CCC and get the error "Catalyst Control Centre: command line interface has stopped working". I tried uninstalling, reinstalling, repairing, nothing fixed it. I could get it to open if I went to the start menu and ran CCC as admin, but on a reboot it just silently failed again. Ultimately I have turned UAC off again. I googled and didn't find much useful info. Is this a common problem? Is there a fix, or do I need to submit this to ATi?

I'd submit a ticket to ATI. I've never had any issues like that with UAC on. I admit, I have UAC turned off now as it made Vista 100% less annoying.

Submitted. However I resolved the problem by uninstalling all ATi software, booting into safe mode, running driver cleaner, rebooting, and then reinstalling. The CCC installed ok however the drivers would not load. Another reboot and all was ok.
