Default The Saboteur

http://www.bit-tech.net/gaming/pc/20...teur-preview/1

One thing that is keeping us interested in The Saboteur though is the apparent strength of the storyline, as it is often that you come across World War 2 action games that have a plot beyond ‘Kill faceless Nazis forever and ever.’ The character of Sean Devlin seems likeably roguish and excellently fleshed out – certainly far more than most computer game character, who’s defining attribute is usually a penchant for wearing more belts than they’ll ever possibly need.

Been watching some gameplay vids and this looks like it might be a winner. Option to enable nudity in the game that makes the opening cinematic rather, interesting! When does this hit retail? Btw...various gameplay broadcasts of this game live over at jtv.

The trailers don't seem to indicate this is a shooter?

it is a shooter. just because you're not playing as a soldier from some super elite military unit or invading normandy, it doesn't mean it's not. check out the lead designer interview - http://www.gametrailers.com/player/49082.html

You know what would be original, a fps game set during and in a major war (world war for example) that has absolutely nothing to do with the war. Like playing a game where your a thief chasing someone who stole from you through the streets of a city, while fighting/hiding from both sides of the war and the story having nothing to do with the war. Now that would be interesting...

Yea, I'm sure there were people that played both sides during the war. Something like mgs4 I guess. You had a couple of factions causing him grief as he's trying to go about his business.

I shouldn't have added the word "fighting", the idea was to ignore the war, like it was an environmental hazard only.

A game of "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" would be awesome. Basically a western game that takes place during the civil war and your goal is the gold in the cemetery.

3-way co-op where you can team up or go independently....and a 3-way duel at the end to see who walks away with the cash....do you team up with someone and split the gold....only to shoot them down too and take it all for yourself...

Hmmm....I have Crysis...I wonder if you can make a western game in the cryeditor....

Whoah.....total nudity...like, ya know WITH NIPPLES! That's righteous pr0n....well, at least for the states..... Makes me laugh every time i encounter it. While it's perfectly fine to show tons of blood and gore beyond everything you could think of, it's still a no go to show nips.....maybe i'll understand that when i'm 80 or so.

As for the game itself, i'm not interested, just another ww-shooter *yawn*

oo oo, i'm would play that! A fistfull of dollars, for a few dollars more and The Goode, the Bad and the Ugly are three of my all time favourite films!

EDIT: While this game (thread) does not seem particularly interesting, it still looks better than half the other games in production right now.
